KING’s College has recently hosted a cross-country event, involving 248 runners from 23 local primary and prep schools.

Supported by many parents, grandparents and teachers, the two races were staged in a near carnival atmosphere on a sunny afternoon.

The children supported each other enthusiastically and, at the end of the very enjoyable sporting occasion, it was teams from Parkfield Primary and Taunton Prep who won the races.

Head of cross-country at King’s College and the event organiser Richard Llewellyn-Eaton said: “It was wonderful seeing so many youngsters enjoying themselves and supporting each other.

“The families were also fantastic and we hope to see everybody again at the November races.”
