TAUNTON Titans face Shelford at Hyde Park tomorrow (3pm) and coach Yapp believes they must improve in key areas if they are to win.

The Titans came unstuck last weekend in Bristol, when hosts Dings Crusaders turned over a 14-6 half-time score to defeat the Somerset men 24-17.

Yapp said: “Last week was a bit of a step backwards in some respects, but certainly nothing to panic about.

“We still scored points, but our penalty count hurt a bit us in the end and too many were conceded in kickable areas of the pitch.

“This Saturday we must start to be more clinical and ensure that if we are ahead, we don’t allow our opponents back into the game through our mistakes.

“The team continue to work hard, and show much promise, but we must now begin to move forward again and realise more of that potential.

“Shelford sit just below us in the table, with a mixed start to the season for them, but they definitely won’t want to travel all the way from Cambridge to get nothing from the game.

“They will be physical and well organised, so we must do the same while also assuring that we put points on the board when we create chances.
