TAUNTON Titans will head into the weekend on the back of two successive defeats defeats - and face another daunting fixture when they travel to Hell Fire corner to face one of the form sides in National Two South, Redruth.

The Reds have been quietly going about their business and have won six out of seven since Christmas, only losing away to Cambridge by two points.

Redruth on their own pitch is always a tough fixture, but when they are full of confidence and on a soft pitch, they will be a tough nut to crack.

If the home side wanted anymore incentive to gain revenge from their narrow defeat at Hyde Park earlier in the season, a win would see them leapfrog the Titans into fourth place.

Titans, after two bruising weeks, have been left with several injury doubts for the weekend, with ever presents Duncan Hales in the second row and experienced half-back Lewis Webb, both going off with injuries against Cambridge - and with leading try scorer, Jack Claydon still a couple of weeks from full fitness, Titans will be testing their strength in depth.

Added to the injuries, some of the Titans who are affiliated with Exeter University are through to the knockout stages of the BUCS League, so their availability will be limited over the next few weeks.

Some good news for the Titans is that they should have the services of England Under-20 fly-half, Joe Simmonds, who is on a break from international duty.
