CRICKET: Huish and Langport prepare for new season

SUMMER may feel like a long way off but ambitious Huish and Langport Cricket Club, whose first team play in Division Two of the Best Western Shrubbery Hotel Somerset League, are already planning for another successful season.

Pre-season indoor nets will be at Huish Sports Centre every Sunday morning between 10am and 11am from February 17 until March 24.

New members are always welcome and should contact Toby Strang on 01458 272191.

On Sunday March 17th the first Car Boot Sale of the season is planned to take place at the HLCC headquarters at the Field Lane ground between 1pm and 4pm.

Further Car Boot Sales are planned for Sunday May 19, Monday August 5 and Sunday September 15.

An Easter Bingo will be taking place on Wednesday, April 3 at the Langport Arms Hotel with doors opening at 7pm and eyes down at 7.30pm.

The league season gets underway on Saturday, May 4 when the first team host Wincanton at Field Road.
