GOLF: Taunton Vale return to competitive action

COMPETITION golf returned at Taunton Vale yesterday when a Stableford competition was held.

Richard Taylor was the winner with 32 points, five clear of Rob Hodge who edged into second place on countback with 25.

Twos were recorded at the fourth hole by Mike Bright and Glyn Pearce, at the 14th by Richard Taylor and at the 17th by Mike Bright.

Summer is only just around the corner and Taunton Golf Club have got a busy schedule of events planned and are now accepting entries for the following Open Competitions: Men's Open - Saturday, June 8; Seniors Open - Tuesday, June 11; Seniors Open Pairs Texas Scramble - Tuesday, July 30; Musgrove Cup Charity Open - Saturday, August 3; Juniors Open - Thursday, August 15; Joan Keirle Mixed Open - Sunday, August 18; Ladies Charity Open - Wednesday, September 11; Ladies Coffee Morning and 9 Holes - Friday, October 4.
