TAUNTON Racecourse welcomed a strong crowd for its Ladies Day meet on Thursday, April 12.
With prizes for best dressed and the best hat up for grabs, plenty of friends and families enjoyed a day at the races and made the most of Taunton's penultimate meeting of the season.
The most valuable race on the card was the 4.30pm Totetrifecta Handicap Hurdle, won by Briony Frost on board Risk and Roll (11/2) for Somerset trainer Paul Nicholls.
Nicholls had another winner in the form of Blu Cavalier (11/10) in the 2.40pm Toteexacta Novices' Hurdle, while the biggest priced winner of the day came in the first as Karl Marx (8/1) led the field home in the Toteplacepot Handicap Hurdle.
