SEVEN students from the Dulverton TAGB tae-kwon-do club successfully passed their latest grading, achieving their next belt.

They were put through their paces by examiner master Michael Dew, 7th degree black belt.

The seven were Martyn Middleton (red tag to red belt), Glenn Cobb (blue belt to red tag), Charlie Barnett (green belt to blue tag), Maxine Heywood (green tag to green belt), Harvey Brown (yellow belt to green tag, A pass), Joe Jones (white belt to yellow tag, A pass, grading award) and Josh Goodwin (white belt to yellow tag).

Congratulations also go to Ian Chick, of Dulverton, and instructor Graham Stoyle for completing a week of intensive training under canvas in very poor weather conditions.

The annual summer camp puts all students through their paces, with daily early morning fitness training as well as daily traditional training.

The students have tuition from the area’s senior instructors and the week was a great success, even though the weather was appalling all week.

Instructors Michelle Cameron and Graham Stoyle run tae-kwon-do classes for both juniors and adults and make sure they tailor individual needs within the lesson structure.
