The Men's Open competition at Taunton Vale attracted 64 teams and resulted in a very close finish with two home based pairs returning to the clubhouse with 43 points.
After countback it was Lee Lewis and Simon Cornelius who claimed top spot just ahead od second placed Darren Cross and Russell Peck.
Third place went to Phil Dowell and Colin Judge from Bridport and West Dorset GC after count¬ back put them ahead of local players Chris Webster and Tom Salter who both scored 41 points.
The top division of Sunday's Medal was won by Alex Bailey with 65, but only following countback which edged him in front of Russell Peck who ended with the same score, while Neil Aries was third also on countback with 68.
Division Two was won by Jason Dummett with 67, Ian Hockey was second with 70 and Martin Evans third on 73, after countback.
Lin Brown with 34 points won the Ladies Section Stableford Number Four, one ahead of second placed Shanni Whisler, while Sue Hales was third with 32 after countback.
