PERHAPS surprisingly given the rain and postponements across the region, Taunton Town's match at Bideford will go ahead this afternoon (3pm kick-off) after the pitch passed an inspection.

The Peacocks secured promotion to the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division on Saturday, but there is still the title and their unbeaten league record to play for.

Taunton sit 14 points clear of second-placed Salisbury (so 11 more points will earn Town the title), with Bideford down in ninth place but still in with a shot of making the playoffs.

The previous meeting at the Vididor Stadium finished 1-1, with Dan Sullivan scoring for the hosts.

Craig Veal - who scored the winner on Saturday - is missing for the Peacocks (holiday), while Matt Buse is doubtful (knee injury).
