TAUNTON Town take their 30-game unbeaten league run to Winchester City tonight (ko 7.45pm), for what is their penultimate away match of the season.
The fixture was originally scheduled to be played last month, but had to be postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at the City Ground.
If the Peacocks - who have of course already wrapped up promotion and the league title - avoid defeat tonight, and away to Cinderford Town on April 28, they will have gone the entire season unbeaten away from home in all competitions.
That will not be easy, though, as although Winchester are down in 11th place, they are still theoretically in with a chance of gaining a playoff place, and they have not lost at home since November.
The reverse fixture, in October, went the way of Taunton by a 4-1 margin, thanks to goals from Ben Adelsbury, Ollie Chamberlain, Ross Staley and Matt Wright.
As for tonight's game, both wing-back Pierce Mitchell and midfielder Matt Buse remain sidelined by injury, while striker Dan Sullivan is unavailable due to work.
However, centre-back Keith Emmerson is back in contention to play.
Following this match, Taunton face Bristol Manor Farm at the Viridor Stadium on Saturday, with the Peacocks to be presented with the Evo-Stik Southern League West trophy after the game.
