SOMERSET go in search of their first silverware since 2005 this weekend as they compete in the Vitality Blast T20 Finals Day.

Having topped the South Group before seeing off holders Nottinghamshire in the quarter-finals, Somerset go into the showpiece occasion confident of going all the way.

Here's all you need to know ahead of the big day...

When is it?

T20 Finals Day takes place on Saturday, September 15. If it rains, there is a reserve day in place for Sunday, September 16.

Where is it?

This year's finals day takes place at Edgbaston, the home of Warwickshire CCC.

It is a 25,000 capacity stadium and tickets are sold out - Somerset will be backed by just over 500 supporters due to the limited number of tickets held back for the competing counties.

When does it start?

The first semi-final between Lancashire and Worcestershire begins at 11am.

Somerset then take on Sussex in the day's second semi-final at 2.30pm.

The final gets underway at 6.45pm.

In between the second semi-final and the final, there will be a mascot race - with Somerset's Stumpy going for gold!

How can I follow it?

All three matches are live on Sky Sports Cricket, with coverage beginning at 10.30am.

Alternatively, you can follow the County Gazette live blog from 10am at countygazette.co.uk for all the latest from Edgbaston with our sports reporter Paul Martin.

Who is going to win?

The bookmakers make Lancashire favourites, but it's a very open last four.

Somerset qualified for finals day four times in a row between 2009 and 2012 without managing to win the trophy - but this year could be different...
