A FORMER Conservative councillor who recently lost her seat on two councils is the second local politician from Wellington to quit the party.
Janet Read has torn up her Tory party membership card in protest at Boris Johnson's election as party leader - and Prime Minister.
Mrs Read was on the former Taunton Deane Borough Council and on Wellington Town Council until she was voted out in May.
In a social media posting she said: "After many years I cannot support this PM."
