The Good Food Awards judges assess the food of eating establishments throughout the United Kingdom by analysing customer feedback in terms of food quality, service and value.

They then apply a score to each attribute and apply multipliers based on competition and local population among other factors.

A spokesperson for the awards said: "Only the very best performing establishments can appear in the Good Food Awards and only when an establishment has met this rigorous process for three or more consecutive years can they achieve our gold seal."
