AS part of our celebrations marking Somerset Day, your County Gazette has teamed up with the Somerset branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England to launch a special competition.
This year, CPRE Somerset is marking its 50th anniversary and has teamed up with your County Gazette to launch a photographic competition - and you can take part.
Amateur photographers are being encouraged to enter up to three photographs on the theme of Somerset’s Changing Landscape before July 31.
A trio of judges - County Gazette editor Paul Jones, CPRE Somerset chairman Prof Chris Lewis and CPRE member and professional photographer Kit Houghton - will pick an overall winner, with a prize of £100 up for grabs.
Meanwhile, you will also be able to have your say and pick a winner, as your County Gazette will be offering a Readers Winner prize of £50, which will be selected by public vote from a final shortlist.
The shortlist, featuring the top 50 photographs, will go on display in the county later this year - as well as on our website - for you to make your selection.
Entries should be emailed to admin@cpresomerset.org.uk by midnight on July 31 - or you can submit your entries using the form below....
