This beat stretches from Thorne St Margaret in the west, around the south of Wellington town, taking in the villages/hamlets of Sampford Arundel, Wrangway, Ford Street and West Buckland. It includes the National Trust areas of Wellington Monument and Quarts Moor. The southern boundary of the area abuts Devon. The area is primarily a rural area, for grazing. Passing through the area is the M5 motorway, junction 26 connecting to Wellington and an industrial area called Chelston. There are two primary schools in the area.
