A HOT yoga and boutique fitness studio in Taunton town centre is opening its doors this weekend.

Nourish, in the multi-million pound Coal Orchard development off St James Street, is holding special launch classes on Saturday and Sunday, February 10 and 11.

It is the second business take a unit in the Coal Orchard after its neighbour 70Six Tattoo moved in last month.

Erin O'Keefe, who co-owns Nourish with Pete Howe, said: "We are thrilled to finally be able to welcome students and let people share what we think is a beautiful and unique venue.

"Our treatment room is also open, with our resident therapist Carly, from Muscle Tone Massage, already offering a range of massage and holistic treatments and Pete providing 3D body scans and bespoke transformation and nutrition plans.

"We are immensely proud to be the only purpose-built heated yoga studio in our area.

"Our goal has always been to offer our students the chance to experience a city studio experience in the heart of Somerset, enriching our town and offering something different.

"We want to embrace diversity in the yoga community, ensuring we offer a broad range of class styles taught by talented and dedicated instructors, so that there is truly something for everyone.

"On the fitness side, we are fully-equipped to offer sweat-dripping, calorie-scorching fitness sessions programmed to ensure inclusivity.

"Promoting holistic wellness and encouraging nourishment, inside and out, is the name of our game and we cannot wait to get started."

Erin and Pete were inspired to open the studio after visiting some high-end yoga facilities in New York and other US cities, where Pete had been working for the past couple of years.

They felt there is a lack of purpose-built yoga facilities in the South West and wanted to build something of their own that replicated "some of the beautiful studios we had visited in the States, but adding our own touches".
