A COFFEE shop in Taunton is set to close - just over four months after it opened.
The Bridge launched in October 2021, in Bridge Street in the former Company Spaces premises.

But now, the business has sadly announced the coffee shop is set to close at the end of the month.
"It is with much sadness that we announce the up coming closure of The Bridge Community Coffee Shop on February 28," The Bridge wrote on their Facebook page.
"We had hoped to stay open beyond our end of lease, but after trialling this project we have made the hard decision to close.
"For February we will continue our shorter opening hours (9.30am until 4.30pm) and fantastic cakes from A Wittle Slice.
"There are a number of networking and community events booked in that will continue.
"Our final open mic night will be on Friday, February 11. I do hope to see you there, if not just pop in for a coffee!
"We are very grateful for all the love and support shown over the last few months. It has been a blessing to know you and to serve you.
"The value of this space has inspired many and we continue the dream that someday this project will spring up again."
Tim Walker, from My Carbon Coach (the plastic free shop that shares the former Company Spaces premises), commented on the post.
He said: "So sorry guys. What you've created has been really special, and seeing so many regulars come in and out past the shop each week has been lovely."
He would like to clarify that My Carbon Coach is not closing - just relocating to a different premises in Taunton.
Other Taunton residents commented on the announcement, sharing their disappointment of the closure, with many asking what it would take to keep the coffee shop open.
One said: "Such sad news as it has such a lovely atmosphere and offers so much. It will be so missed by many of us and praying that somehow the doors will be able to open again and soon."
Another added: "My daughter loves the bubble tea and cakes. I love the whole vibe of the place, the comfy sofas, the space. Is there anything that can be done to save you? As others have said - this is the best thing to happen to Taunton in a long time."
